I have twenty-five years experience as an independent organization development consultant serving nonprofit organizations and membership associations.

For the decade between 1996 - 2006, I taught the course “Board Leadership in Nonprofit Organizations” at the University of Pennsylvania, College of General Studies.

My consulting philosophy integrates principles of governance, strategic planning and organization development.

My clients include community-based agencies, large regional corporations, national federations and international membership associations.

Since establishing my consulting practice in 1990, I have been driven by the conviction that it is just as important for a nonprofit organization to have a strong board as it is to have strong management. I enjoy helping good boards become great boards.
